Our axe throwing lane rental is $25/hr per person. This includes your axe coach. Your axe coach will cover all the safety rules, some tips on mastering the sport and show you some fun games to play! They will also be there to grab you any beverages you may want during your time with us!

Yes! Axe throwing is safe. Axe catching is dangerous! As long as you are following the safety guidelines set by the venue and your axe coach, axe throwing is an exciting, fun and safe activity!

At Lumberjack Johnny's we welcome throwers ages 12 and up. Anyone throwing axes between the ages of 12 and 17 will require a paid adult on site with them at all times. Anyone under the age of 21 will not be permitted to sit at the bar. NOTE: Lumberjack Johnny's does not control the jukebox music choices (it is not censored), language, or other behaviors of our patrons on site which may not be appropriate for all ages.

We do not require booking in advance, however, we cannot guarantee lane availability on walk-ins.

We do require a minimum of 2 participants to reserve a lane. You are welcome to book the minimum and pay for additional throwers (up to 6 per lane) upon arrival. If you are a single thrower, we encourage you to call or walk in! NOTE: Lanes 1 & 3 are double target lanes and can acommodate up to 12 throwers (6 per target) in each lane.

There are no specific dress requirements for axe throwing, except for one. For safety, you must wear closed-toe shoes to be able to participate in single or group sessions. We also suggest that you wear comfortable clothing for throwing.

All sales are final and there are no refunds, however, we definitely understand that things come up. Please let us know right away if you have a conflict and we will work with you to reschedule your axe throwing session. We can reschedule your booking within 2 hours of arrival (at no charge) should something come up.

Each axe target accommodates 6 throwers. We only require a minimum booking of 2 to reserve. You are welcome to pay for additional throwers (up to 6 per target) on site. If you would like to bring more than 6 people, then let us know. We can create a custom schedule for your group to include as much or as little structure as needed for your guys or girls’ night.

Yes! Our Appleton location offers a full kitchen and stellar menu. Our Green Bay location has various grab and go snacks and King Pin Pizza. We do not allow food or drink carry-ins.

You sure can, but please contact us prior to coming. We do not allow double-edge axes, but many other types of hatchets and axes can be approved for throwing.
